From A to Z

April 1, 2010 I made this block

(doesn't actually start with an "A". It is called "5 of Diamonds" so comes first in the book alphabetically before the A's.)

Yesterday afternoon and evening I made these:

#193 Wooden Shoe

#194 Wrought Iron

#195 Zig Zag

#196 Zygote

And that is the end of the blocks!

Here they all are laying on the floor.  Not all rows are joined as I will be  hand quilting this is sections in a "quilt as you go" fashion.

A little closer and the color change in the bottom fabric shows better

And I found this fabric in Joplin today.  I hadn't been thinking of quite this large of a print, but the colors were a perfect match!

Now I can start quilting this one, while I keep my eyes open for the perfect fabric(s) for #3!  Can you tell I love this quilt pattern?

I love your quilt. I was on a bus trip with Judy Garden when she was piecing the blocks for her book. I've not tried any of the blocks yet.

I would be very interested to see how you join up the sections and how close do you quilt to the edges.

This quilt will be beautiful once all finished!

WOW, wow, wow, wow, wow! :-D LOL Love it, love it, love it! :-D
I don't think you are crazy, Mary. If I didn't have forty-'leven other projects going, I would either start this one or do another Dear Jane!! (And I will probably do both eventually, anyway! LOL) I think they are awesome!! Keep up the beautiful work! What color will the 3rd one be?
Blessings,
Mary Lou

Oh, Mary, that one is a heart stopper. I didn't think anything could top the original, but this is just ... I don't have words.

And no, Sherry, she ain't keeping them all and I got DIBS on this one.

But every new quilt she makes is my favorite one until the next one rolls around.
