Cousins & Siggies

I take lots of pictures of quilts and crafts and other things. I've never been good at getting the people pictures. It's a shame really. I guess I'm always too busy just enjoying time with people and I seldom think to stop and document with pictures. My sister is just the opposite.

Anyway here's a not very good picture of our mini cousin reunion last weekend. My cousins Joyce (left) and Connie (right) drove down Friday from Iowa. They stayed until Monday morning and we had a great time reminiscing and enjoying each other's company. I'm the oldest of 23 grandchildren and these two spent a lot of time with me though they are 8 and 9 years younger. I was married when they were teenagers and I think I was someone they could go to with all their teenage angst. We've always been close and it was good to have the time together. It would have been nice of me to comb my hair before this picture was taken..but "bed head" it is! (edited to change picture after I received a copy of one of Connie with her eyes open. Unfortunately I still have bed head).

And a picture of Tom and I. This is his last week of work. Then he's on leave until his official retirement date of August 1. He's in Great Bend on a consult through Wednesday, then office his last two days. Think he'll start quilting with me again?

Friday's mail brought two siggies. Pat from Florida & Michigan ( a lucky snowbird)

Gretha from Norway loves cats

Yesterday this cute siggie arrived from Inge in the Netherlands who collects matryoshka dolls

It would be so nice if Tom got into quilting with you again. (Loved the quilt he made and you showed some time ago). I'm always so happy when hubby shows interest in my sewing although it's not always useful, the man is so absolutely color blind. Lol.

Happy to see you had such a good time with your cousins.

So nice to get together and reminisce. Tell Tom I'll look forward to seeing more quilting creations from him!
