I finished quilting the Fractured Star Mystery Quilt yesterday and started the final hand stitching of the binding last night and completed it a short time ago. Seems like Tom is always on the road with a consult when I finish a quilt, so nobody here to hold this up for a good straight on shot. It's in the washer now so maybe I'll get a better picture this weekend that will show the quilting texture more and a better full picture.
Too bad I was too impatient to make more blocks and have this a queen size. It finished 60 X 73". I added a red flange next to the off white binding. This is only the second time I've used a flange and boy it's hard to keep something so narrow even. This won't win any awards but I like it a lot.

It looks really good Mary - I love scrap quilts and recently found another pattern I like - I don't sew all day long though so have no idea when I will get to it - I tend to do most of my sewing in the evening for some reason.

I like this quilt a lot, I was going to make it too but when I read the instruction for the first block it seemed there is some waste so I backed out, would like to give it a try now though, after seeing yours.
Your quilt turned out just lovely, I really like the red flange, it really frames the quilt nicely.
Well Done Mary!!

Wow, Mary, I love the quilt! Of course, scrappy just suits me to a T! The flange looks great!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this quilt! It looks WONDERFUL! The red adds just the right frame to the edge.
