Weekend Blocks

Saturday's Civil War Block was Ladies Aid Album (#24)

Six more Dutch Treat blocks

Old & New
( Sometimes I have no idea how these blocks ended up with the names they have)

Oranges & Lemons

Orbits

Order

Paper Planes

Parsley

Here's the top I quilted last week for a friend's birthday. The top was given to me several months ago .
I just love all the fabrics that were used in it

I just did a simple large meander

And a pretty blue backing
This is a quilt I hope will get lots of use and laundering.

I picked up the six tops I had machine basted on Saturday.  Now I need to get busy.  Which one should I start with?

Have a good Monday?

Are you doing the Civil War blog blocks? I have just started on them TODAY with my 13 yr old son. We home school and I thought it would be a nice history/art class all in one!

We went out Saturday and chose a few of his fat quarters. He did a great job picking them. I'll blog about it soon.

Lovely blocks Mary. I don't know why there is a need to name them all in the first place but my hat goes off to anyone with enough imagination to do it LOL.

Your friend is going to love her quilt :o)

Congratulation on a finish i think it's great for you to have those six tops basted. It's given my quilting a push to have the tops already basted while waiting for me to actually sit down to finish them up.
