A Win!

Today is my lucky day!  Judy at Patchwork Times had a giveaway this week... a copy of Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Volume 2.

Her block  Fiesta Sunset is one of the featured blocks

I was so surprised this evening to read her blog and realize I was one of the winners!  Thank you, Judy. I can't wait to spend some quality time looking at all the cool new blocks.

I'm so thrilled for our local quilting superstar, Susan Stewart, who once again won big at Houston.  Her quilt "Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining" won the Pfaff Master Award for Machine Artistry. I can't wait for the chance to see this amazing quilt in person one day. Since she lives here in Pittsburg, I'm sure that will happen.

Another of her quilts, "Monochrome" won 2nd place in the Computer-Aided Machine Embroidery category.

She is such an amazingly talented woman. You can see detailed pics of both of these quilts and others on her website . Click on the "Gallery" tab and be sure to use the links on the bottom of the pages to see detail pictures.

On another note, I started quilting row 14 of Dutch Treat #2 today!

Congratulations on you win from me too. I forgot to surf the blogs today; maybe I'll feel better tomorrow to do a little then.
