Happy Mother's Day!

On Tuesday the orthopedist decided to try an injection of cortisone in my hand and, drumroll please.... the next morning all of the swelling and 98% of the pain was gone!  It only took 5 weeks for this to happen.  Sort of makes you wonder why I needed 3 different antibiotics that did nothing, huh?

But I'm not going to complain.  It feels so good to be pain free after all this time and back to sewing ( I did continue sewing during the first few weeks but wasn't able to as time went on).

I have no quilty pictures to share, but want to wish everyone a wonderful Mother's Day. I'd love to be able to spend the day with my three sons who I love dearly. But since that can't happen, I'll remember the days we were together, like this picture taken in 1974:

I'm also going to be celebrating my youngest son Jeff's successful back surgery yesterday and my oldest son Mike's acceptance of a great job offer as he begins the countdown to his retirment from the Army after a near 30 year career.

And finally.............I'll be celebrating the news that both Mike and Mark will be welcoming new grandchildren into their families.  I received calls from Granddaughers Kelley and Caitlin last week sharing the exciting news.   This will make us great-grandparents five times over.

There is much to celebrate this Mother's Day.  Hope you all have a wondeful day as well.
