Raggedy and Friends

With temps remaining over 100º over the weekend, it was good to stay inside and get my Raggedy and Friends top quilted.  It feels good to cross another UFO off the list.

This was a free BOM from the Painted Quilt last year.  Thank you Kaaren!

I didn't do the fancy quilting she did on hers.  Just an overall stipple and a little quilting to add dimension in the embroidered blocks.

This may well be the homliest quilt I've made to date!  LOL.  That isn't a reflection on the pattern..it's cute as can be.  I just don't like my fabric choices for once.

Stay cool everyone.  No end to the heat for us.

what a wonderfully home quilt, to be cherished by all! I love your fabrics you chose. Nothing like complimenting the designer by completing the task.
Excellent, kaaren will love it

That is the way I felt about mine too. If I do it again my fabric choices will be different. I loved the pattern and the way it went together. Yours looks great to me.

Welllll the embroidery and quilting are great :0) Maybe you aren't really happy because it's not as intricate as your DT quilts and that's what your eyes are used to looking at?

Mary, I've lost my mind. I wrote the wrong address down for you. I confused YOUR address with my Pillowcase swap! I'm losing it. Please send me your mailing address one more time. Your lovely linens want to find you!!

I think it looks perfect. I think we are always too critical of our own work. I love following your accomplishments. Wish I had the time, maybe when I retire in a year or so. Keep cool!

The fabrics look good with the stitching - same character. It is a lovely quilt.

The colors are not "you" as my quilting friends say when I show up with my challenging projects, but that makes it all the more fun to work with.

You did very well with yours and this quilt is bound to make some child happy to spend much time exploring.
